Vintage Siam Sterling Niello Bypass Set

A lovely matching set of 1950''s/60''s vintage Siam sterling silver niello jewelry. This set consists of two bypass style pieces, a hinged bracelet and a ring. Each piece depicts traditional Hindu goddesses. The bracelet is 7" around with a push button slider clasp and a safety chain. The ring is a size 5.5. Both pieces are marked Siam sterling. Both are in good vintage condition.
Niello or "Nielloware" is a form of enameling that utilizes sulfur powder applied and baked into intricate carvings on a sterling silver base. Very popular with visitors to the region between 1930-1970.
