Rare Antique Yemeni Jewish 900 Silver 1920’s Unbelievable Ring. I had never laid eyes in this ring until today. A well stored and preserved piece of art!

Rare Vintage 1920’s 900 Silver Traditional Yemeni Ring with simple yet elegant raised setting. The fine filigree raised round ornate ball setting has 3 super delicate dangles. (All original) The granulated and twisted silver dot details adored the wide band and diamond shaped side pieces. The craftsmanship is funky yet elegant.

A little history
Yemen was the Jewelry Superstar in the 18th and 19th centuries, and was created almost exclusively by Jews. Yemenite Jewish silversmithing families developed gorgeous methods for making silver jewelry, art, and other crafts, most notably using intricate detailing like filigree and stunning ornate designs

Methods were passed down from generation to generation. They were so desired in Yemenite society that Jewish silversmiths were even employed by Yemenite royalty!
