Compass Old Working Heavy Duty Brass Military

This is a heavy duty compass I think was used in the military for survey and setting range directions. It was given to me to use in sailing which was also useful. If I were still able to hike in the mountains where GPS and cell service is spotty, with this compass and a good terrain map it would be difficult to get lost.
